AN AMAZING POWER OF YOUR INSPIRATION

I am about to share one of the ideas used by Pablo Picasso and Steve Jobs, when they are looking for mechanism that will help them to ride on in the creative world. After many tours, they discovered the fundamental of all other mechanisms. This mechanism is called INSPIRATION. This is the engine that drives every other factor for exceeding in the creative empire, must especially creative writing.

Many writers found it difficult to write, not just because they don’t have anything to write or perhaps experiencing writers block, but because they can’t embrace the moment of their inspiration. Every creative work has a source of inspiration which makes it to be called an artwork. Without inspiration your ambition cannot be achieved.

What is inspiration? Inspiration simply means a new idea, esp. one which arises suddenly and is clever or creative. According to Oxford dictionary, it defines inspiration as the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something creative.

Many people are been struck by a flash of inspiration as something that occurs accidentally. Here are number of situations that triggered an inspiration:

1.     Some people find inspiration in music.

2.     Some people find inspiration in the company of friend/ peers

3.     Some people are inspired when surrounded by nature

4.     Some people find inspiration in watching movies (this is where I belong. I love watching movies but not all movies. I got inspired in most black American movies. You too can get inspired from the blend of movies you watch)

5.     Some people, when grabbed paper and coloring pencil.

6.     Some people, when taking walk.

7.     Some are when they are left alone in a quiet place.

Honestly you don’t have to wait until you are struck by an inspiration. You can take actions above, when you feel to be inspired and find out strategy that uses them.

Do not say that inspiration is meant for a particular set of people, every creative field requires inspiration; music, fashion designing, screenplay, fine art, sorts of writing.

Your inspired work can be source of someone’s inspiration. That is why T.S Eliot wrote “immature poets imitate, mature poets steal”. Pablo Picasso succinctly put “good artists copy, great artists steal”. From Peter De Vies, he made a great point when he said that we can choose to help ourselves become inspired or we can be a servant to inspiration

I urged you to embrace your INSPIRATION. Make it your friend while alone, you will never regret living in the world of creativity. You will excel beyond your imagination.
