HOW TO BE WHERE YOU WANT TO BE IN LIFE

Success is not what comes so easily. The amount of information you have also determines your closeness to success. There are some secrets which your mind is yet to discover about how to be successful in life

If you are yet to be where you wish to be in life, consider this steps:

1. Choose accuracy over history
At times your beliefs are not necessarily accurate. Your view of the world is based on your personality traits, such as neuroticism, conscientiousness, agreeableness, or openness. Also what you learn in your early childhood stage plays a very important role in your life.
You always think about your history instead of the accuracy. Not to say that everything you have in mind about life is wrong but because you think so, it becomes. It doesn’t work that way. Everything you have in mind should have a proof.

2. Recognize, refute and replace negative self talks.
You have thousands of conversations in your head per day on average, some percentage of them are negative self-talk. For many people, that percentage is less is below 30%. These conversations include:I’m not good enough, I’m too fat, or I can’t. All are negative self talks in you.

It is time you begin to recognize them and refute them by stating the positive side of them. You can replace them with something better such as “I have what it takes to do what I am meant to do,” or, change your “I can’t” to “I can.”

3. Be optimist.
Optimism is defined by Merriam Webster , ”an inclination to put the most favorable construction upon actions and events or to anticipate the best possible outcome.” In short, it means to be hopeful which does not preclude healthy skepticism.

It is encouraged to shoot for the moon ,and maybe fall on the stars. Success in life is all about being hopeful. Believe in the coming of greater things. Don’t lose hope because the first one didn’t work out. Greater things are still coming your way. Remember that the end justifies the means. And failure is never the end. Aim for higher things.

4. Rely on your talent and passion
It’s easy to be in love with what you do but more challenging to stay in love with it. That takes passion. Pursuing something because you have a passion for it is enough to keep you going.
You must be willing to discover your skills, develop your potentialities and grow what you do. Discover, develop, deepen. Moreover, your talent and innate ability can do more: they can open doors and create opportunities. When these are added to passion, you have success.

5. A growth mindset wins over a fixed mindset
You will be more successful if you believe, not that you are ready, but that you aren’t. If you have a growth mindset, you know that to be successful you will have to learn new things, face challenges, and adapt.
In her book, Mindset: The New Psychology of Success, Dr. Carol Dweck shares that, “in the growth mindset, you don’t always need confidence…even when you think you’re not good at something, you can still plunge into it wholeheartedly and stick to it.”
When you are open to new information, whether it is consistent with your current beliefs or not, you have the opportunity to grow.
